How to set up Counter-Strike 2 correctly

Steam settings before launching Counter-Strike 2

Before launching Counter-Strike 2, make sure that you have correctly configured several items inside the settings of Steam itself:

  • — in the "Friends and Chat" menu, you need to uncheck the item with animated avatars;
  • — in the "Interface" menu, select "Library" for the "Window at Startup" parameter, and then uncheck the box that is responsible for rendering web pages using a video card;
  • — in the "Library" item, it is necessary to uncheck the "low network load", "simplified mode" and "hide community content" parameters;— the Remote play function needs to be disabled;
  •  — in the "Broadcast" item in the "Privacy Settings" settings, select "Broadcast disabled".

  • -novid – prevents the video of the game launch from playing.
  • -high – provides high CPU usage priority.
  • -nojoy – reduces RAM usage by disabling input using the joystick.

Console commands for CS 2


  • cq_netgraph 1 – visual information about the stability of the Internet connection.
  • cl_showfps 1 – shows your FPS. According to unconfirmed reports, it can negatively affect performance.
  • voice_modenable 1/0 – enables/disables voice chat in the game.
  • fps_max 0 – disabling any restrictions on the number of FPS frames.
  • cl_drawhud 0 – removes all elements of the in-game interface.


A band for quickly dropping bombs in Counter-Strike 2 

In order to quickly get rid of the bomb by pressing one button, you need to enter four separate commands in turn:
  • alias "+bomb" "slot5";
  • alias "-bomb" "drop; 
  • lastinv»;
